Artist Statement
My paintings begin as ideas I cannot silence. They linger and demand attention until they are translated onto the canvas. Painting is not simply a process of observation for me, but an act of release. Each work is a burst of passion shaped by intuition, emotion, and necessity.
Rooted in realism my work often draws from everyday life yet my interest lies less in documentation and more in capturing the psychological weight of a moment. I am inspired by small often unnoticed moments in everyday life that grow into larger ideas which I explore through realism.
As a self taught artist I have developed an instinctive relationship with my practice. My background in marketing, fashion, and modeling has sharpened my awareness of image composition and presence influencing how I frame subjects and guide the viewer’s attention. These experiences allow me to balance raw expression with intentional structure.
Working from my home studio in Houston my practice remains exploratory. Each painting is part of an ongoing conversation between what I observe and what insists on being expressed driven by emotion curiosity and the need to externalize what lives in my mind.
